Susan always loved to draw since childhood. Her high school art teacher encouraged her to pursue art so she attended
Bridgewater State College where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1983. In the late 1980's Susan took a craft class which introduced her to acrylic painting. She liked the short drying time as opposed to oils and she eventually started designing her own projects. She sells her work at shows and has been teaching acrylic painting since 2000. In 2001 and 2002 she had 2 decorative painting books published, "It's Great to Create",
and "It's Great to Create, Vol.2". Susan's classes focus on acrylic painting but other mediums are used such as colored pencils and beginner watercolor projects. Although her work is whimsical, Susan’s traditional drawing roots help her create some realism when needed.
