Drawing and Oil Painting with Matt Miller
Saturdays: 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
class is oil painting for adults
Matt recently achieved Master Artist status at The Copley Society of Art. This is their highest level.

Matt Miller is a native of Buffalo New York. He started drawing at an early age and was often seen with pencil, pen, or charcoal in hand. He took several drawing classes at this time, however as he grew and adulthood came upon him, a long hiatus in his art took place.
Later, as an accomplished adult, he took up drawing and oil painting with renewed zeal, studying with several skilled local artists, taking classes at a number of local studios and the Rhode Island School of Design.
He came across the artwork of David Leffel and became heavily influenced by his work, attending numerous training sessions over the next few years with Mr. Leffel and his wife Sherrie McGraw in California and in Taos NM.
Matt’s works can be seen in several local galleries in the Boston metro area.

TAA will have basic materials on hand if you need them to start for drawing or oil painting.

Susan always loved to draw since childhood. Her high school art teacher encouraged her to pursue art so she attended
Bridgewater State College where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1983.
In the late 1980's Susan took a craft class which introduced her to acrylic painting. She liked the short drying time as opposed to oils and she eventually started designing her own projects. She sells her work at shows and has been teaching acrylic painting since 2000.
In 2001 and 2002 she had 2 decorative painting books published, "It's Great to Create",
and "It's Great to Create, Vol.2".
Susan's classes focus on acrylic painting but other mediums are used such as colored pencils and beginner watercolor projects. Although her work is whimsical, Susan’s traditional drawing roots help her create some realism when needed.
Susan has an Etsy shop www.susanville.etsy.com, and website, www.susanvilleart.com.
