Thursday, April 17, 6:30 pm
Whether you come to sing a song, play an instrument, recite a poem, etc. or just want to relax in the audience, you are welcome to join in the fun at Open Mic.

Oil Painting for Adults (for all levels including Beginners)
Meets Wednesdays at 1:30 pm.
Acrylic Painting for Adults
(For all levels including Beginners) Meets Mondays at 6:30 pm
(For Advanced Level) Meets Fridays at 10:30 am
Youth Art Classes
Grades Kindergarten through 6th - Meets Every other Saturday at 9:30 am, beginning February 1
Grades 7 through 12 - Meets every Wednesday at 4:00 pm.
Classes are Open to Everyone. Membership in TAA includes reduced fees for some classes and programs. Membership in TAA is Open to all Artists.

(Closed for Holidays and Occasionally for other reasons, such as weather or other events.)
These gatherings give TAA Members a chance to work on their own pieces, in a creative space, with other artists. You bring your own materials and supplies. There is no instructor.
There is a Door Fee of $ 5.00, for Nonmembers, to help offset the costs of heating and lights.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership in the Taunton Art Association is open to all Artists and to Folks that just enjoy Fine Art.
We offer Classes, Art Demonstrations, Workshops, Art Shows, and other Exhibits.
If you are an artist, or if you just enjoy Art, please consider becoming a member.
The theme for TAA in 2024 is: "Take Part in Art", Art pulls you in and shows you a world of wonder and beauty.
Art makes you think, and helps to bring back many memories and feelings, and evokes new ones.
Come to one of our events and see what we are all about.
We have Membership Forms available, or send an email and we will send you a form. Email: [email protected]
The annual dues help to fund programs and maintain our art space.
Membership runs from January 1 through December 31, but you can join anytime throughout the year.
We have a variety of Membership levels available, the dues donations begin at Student Memberships for ages 5 through 18, $ 10.00
Young Adult for ages 19-22, $ 20.00, Individual Adult for ages 23 and up, $ 35.00, plus Patron and Sponsor Memberships.
Donations to the Taunton Art Association are tax deductable, as it is a 501(c)3 organization. Our programs, classes, and workshops depend largely on grants and donations. We greatly appreciate any support we receive. We are supported in part by the Taunton Cultural Council, a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.

TAA offers a $500 scholarship to a deserving high school senior furthering his/her education in a Visual Arts related field. The money will be awarded to the winning student after submission of his/her first quarter grades. Applications are sent out to area schools in late January. Interested individuals may also download a form to be sent back to TAA no later than April 15. Applicants will be called in late April or early May to have our committee review their portfolios.
There is also an additional scholarship, the Ann Rebello Scholarship, which will be awarded to either to a
special needs student persuing an education in the Visual Arts, or a Visual Arts Major with a Minor in Special Needs Education. The Ann Rebello scholarship has a separate application form.
